Serving North Olmsted, OH

For luxury-minded SUV shoppers searching for a larger model, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS are top contenders. The GLE sits just below the GLS in the lineup, and both models offer three rows of seating and a spacious cargo area. The GLE 350 and the GLS 450 are the entry-level trims for these models. How do they compare to each other?

Performance

If you select the Mercedes-Benz GLE 350, your SUV will be powered by a four-cylinder turbo engine that puts out 255 horsepower. It offers a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive. However, 4MATIC® all-wheel drive is an option. The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 has a turbo 3.0-liter, inline-six engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. 4MATIC® all-wheel drive is standard. This model also stands apart from a standard adaptive air suspension system.

Appearance

The 2025 GLE-Class makes a powerful impression on the road with streaming, deep contouring racing across the sides. The definition lines running down the hood highlight the vehicle’s size. On the front end, the large headlights are designed with both bars and LED bulbs. The slightly flared grille is dressed up with vertical chrome bars. The GLS is the largest model in the 2025 lineup. It offers a tall, flat roofline with sculpted haunches and subtly angled side contouring. Compared to the GLE, the GLS’s grille is more rounded at the sides, and it has the same chrome bars. The multi-elemental LED headlights add a special touch.

Features

If you opt for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350, your SUV will come with a dual-zone auto climate control system, forward collision avoidance, and heated front seats. You’ll also get a sunroof, synthetic leather upholstery, a navigation system, a power liftgate, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, parking sensors, a driver attention warning, and other features. The GLS 450 is equipped with many of these same features as well as memory settings for the front seat, a panoramic sunroof, a hands-free liftgate, a power-folding third row, a four-zone climate control system, customizable ambient lighting, a premium sound system, and additional features.
