Parts Driver

Summary:
Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.

Essential Duties: but not limited to this list.

  • Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Checks with the body shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.
  • Delivers parts to body shop when needed and distributes to appropriate body technicians.
  • Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
  • Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient’s signature on each delivery entry.
  • Unloads truck each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
  • Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
  • Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
  • Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
  • Assists service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers’ cars.
  • Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.

Fleet Coordinator

Job description:

The Service Fleet Coordinator responds to the needs of our clients, sales managers, and service advisors. A friendly voice coupled with a “can do” attitude and a driven commitment to complete customer satisfaction are required skills to succeed in this role.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinator is a hands-on, highly responsive customer advocate.
  • Listen to clients and immediately handle customer needs.
  • Coordinator works in a TEAM culture, interacting frequently each day with service department personnel to ensure customer needs are met ASAP.
  • Manage a fleet of loaners vehicles.
  • Inspect for damage after each loaner is returned.

Mercedes-Benz Brand Consultant

Our sales consultants are responsible for all aspects of the car sale from lead generation to car delivery. They are expected to have a great understanding of the product and be able to articulate product specifications to the customers.

Requirements

  • Exhibit high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers
  • Know and understand equity and values, and is able to explain depreciation to the customer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot
  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
  • Fully explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective clients
  • Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase
  • Offer test drives to all prospects while following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive
  • Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet and exceed those goals
  • Attend product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager
  • Write complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department

Lot Porter

You are expected to demonstrate behaviors consistent with our Company’s Values in all interactions with our clients, team members and vendors.

 

Job description and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Drives dealership vehicles and customer cars to designated areas
  • General cleanup of vehicles
  • Maintain lot and sidewalks
  • Move inventory around.
  • Keeps new and used vehicle lots neat, clean, and organized as directed by management.
  • Provides transportation when needed
  • Must be alert of traffic flow on the lots.
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report all accidents to a manager.
  • Accurate paperwork
  • Assist transporters
  • Keep showroom cars clean and wiped down.
  • No keys are to be unattended at any time.
  • All keys get returned to key box
  • Be mindful of the small details
  • Other duties may be assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver license in the state that you will work
  • Must have a good driving record
  • MUST be able to operate both standard and automotive vehicles.
  • Must be able to work full time, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have great customer service attitude!

 


 

Service Porter

Summary:

Maintains a safe, clean working environment for all dealership employees and customers.

 

Essential Duties but not limited to this list:

  • Cleans the service and customer areas.
  • Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees.
  • Washes all windows, glass doors and glass panels throughout service area.
  • Mops, or vacuums, and cleans service waiting area, offices, technicians’ locker room and lunchroom, halls, and shop bathroom.
  • Sweeps technician stalls, service department, halls, and vending areas.
  • Cleans all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines.
  • Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces and related supplies as needed.
  • Cleans bathrooms and restocks paper supplies as needed.
  • Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing debris as necessary.
  • Cleans power equipment.
  • Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside.
  • Maintains equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedures.
  • Removes any old scrap parts from shop after checking with parts manager.
  • Assists technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs.
  • Runs errands as directed by foreman, or Service Manager.
  • Understands and complies with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
  • Moves vehicles to and from service line.
  • Vacuums and cleans customer vehicles as directed.

Service Writer

Summary:

Automotive service writers greet customers, listen to their description of the problems or service needed, determine the type of service required and prepare repair orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, they estimate the additional cost and telephone the customer for permission to do the work. They also advise customers on other available services.

 

Essential Duties but not limited to this list:

  • Advises customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
  • Helps identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or road test.
  • Confers with customers about inspection results, recommends corrective procedures and prepares work order for needed repairs.
  • Prepares a repair order showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service.
  • Write a brief description of the customer’s concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.
  • Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
  • Handles customer complaints.
  • Schedules service appointments.
  • Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
  • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
  • Test drives the vehicle with customer as needed to confirm the problem or refer to test technician.
  • Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
  • Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Establishes “promised time.” Checks with dispatcher, if necessary.
  • Obtains customer’s signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
  • Establishes customer’s method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary.
  • Notifies dispatcher of incoming work.
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Implements and maintains a service marketing program.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
  • Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas. Makes sure they are locked, and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
  • Keeps service department forms, menus and pricing guides up to date.
  • Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
  • Inspects all vehicles for body work, informs customer if work is needed and provides an estimate for body work.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area clean.
