The impressive Mercedes-Benz GLE will be available with six trim levels in 2025, each with its own powertrain system. There are five gas-powered engines as well as a plug-in hybrid option. The GLE 350 is the entry-level trim level and can be compared to the GLE 450e plug-in hybrid trim level.
Performance
The GLE 350 is outfitted with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower and boasts mild-hybrid tech. The GLE 350 comes standard with rear-wheel drive and offers available 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. The GLE 450e comes with a turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine and an electric component. This system produces 381 combined horsepower. The all-electric range can go up to 49 miles. The GLE 450e has standard 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.
Appearance
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is a midsize crossover SUV with a sophisticated design and a commanding presence on the road. Its tall profile tapers over the liftgate. Both the sloping hood and contoured sides are dressed up with prominent creases. At the front end, the wide grille has an A-frame shape with vertical chrome bars. The bumper and bold air inlets are black with body-colored surrounds. The captivating headlights have solid and segmented LED bars and two central LED bulbs. The GLE 350 and the GLE 450e come with 19-inch wheels.
Features
These two trim levels are comparably appointed. Both are outfitted with a surround-view camera, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, a blind-spot warning, wireless smartphone charging, forward collision detection and mitigation, heated front seats, a power liftgate, a sunroof, synthetic leather upholstery, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, an integrated navigation system, and a digital instrument panel. Options include third-row seating, powered adjustments for the second row, lane keeping, augmented video for the navigation system, a head-up display, massaging front seats, an air purification system, heated rear seats, power soft-close doors, a four-zone climate control system, evasive steering assistance, adaptive cruise control, and several other options.
