Vehicle’s Overview

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 showcases its curated collection of curves and corners that inspire the eyes to linger on its elegant shape and detailing.

This stylish four-door sedan is more than just eye candy. Inside the cabin, you are greeted with lavish luxury in the form of quality materials, tight fit-and-finish, and a dazzling dashboard display. Continue reading to learn more about the 2023 Mercedes-Benz CLS 450.

The 2023 Mercedes CLS 450 Coupe features front power seats, four-way power lumbar support, and simple, seat-shaped controls on the door. A memory system for each front seat allows you to remember and recall three different seat positions, the driver’s side mirrors position and the 4-way power steering column.

A full-width back seat has made the CLS a true five-seater. Its contoured seatback provides two or three passengers with long-lasting support, and it can fold down in a 40/20/40 split to fit passengers and heavier cargo in various ways. Driver and front passenger can each enjoy individualized comfort thanks to separate left and right temperature settings.

The system incorporates a dust and pollen filter to prevent particles as small as 5 micrometers from entering the cabin, in addition to completely automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution.

The CLS has reinvented its signature for its third generation in flowing strokes that are crisp and free of excesses. It comes beautifully styled to draw admiring glances while being aerodynamically perfect to avoid the wind.

The CLS’s four-door coupe form highlights its curved top and strained muscles. Its broad taillamps, twin power dome hoods, and subtly forward-leaning grille carry timelessness into the future. The CLS 450 has a deep front apron with broad air intakes and a prominent, color-keyed “A-wing” flanked by curved black “flics.” The rear valance adds a chrome touch to the tailpipes and center diffuser insert, while the flared side sills visibly hug the road and span the wheel arches.

2023 Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 Performance Review

The CLS 450 comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six paired with a 48-volt hybrid-assist system called EQ Boost. Another Mercedes-Benz legacy has brought the inline-6’s smooth power and natural balance back to the Three-Pointed Star. The lightweight, totally beltless engine comes electrified with a twin-scroll turbocharged gas engine. It can respond smoothly and effectively even on its own, producing 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

An integrated starter generator can generate up to 21 horsepower, enable fuel-free coasting, and recover energy during deceleration. An ECO Start/Stop technology automatically turns the engine off at stoplights and during idle times to save fuel and cut pollutants. Restarts are now even more fluid and instantaneous thanks to the Integrated Starter-Generator. The driver can also turn off the ECO Start/Stop function at any time.

Safety features can be found throughout the 2023 Mercedes-Benz CLS 450, including standard and available features.

Active Braking Assist

If you’re approaching a vehicle directly ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that indicate an accident is possible, radar-based equipment can warn you. It can automatically apply the proper level of braking as soon as you begin to brake, aiding in collision avoidance or crash severity reduction. It can also start braking automatically at various driving speeds if you don’t react.

Attention Assist

Attention Assist

The first of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST® continuously analyzes up to 70 driving-related behaviors. It can automatically warn the driver if it detects signs of fatigue with both visible and auditory alerts. With increased sensitivity, the technology can identify drivers who are already drowsy on the road and provide more helpful information to drivers via a dashboard display as they travel.

In-Vehicle, One-Touch Calling Features

In many circumstances, pressing two buttons in your vehicle will get you the required assistance. Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call can send trained individuals to contact local emergency responders, your GPS-determined location, and helpful vehicle information. Additionally, “me call” can put you in touch with Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance in case you want a jumpstart, tow, or other assistance with a breakdown.
