These models offer the next-level luxury and refined engineering that drivers expect from the brand. Many auto shoppers have questions about PHEVs and EVs, and we have compiled a list of common questions for your convenience.

What is the Estimated Range for All-Electric Models?

The range for a Mercedes-Benz EV varies by model and trim. Our team can provide specific information about the model that interests you when you visit us soon. Here are some estimated ranges:

  • 2024 EQB SUV: Up to 251 miles*

  • 2024 EQS Sedan: Up to 352 miles

What are the Different Charging Levels for EVs?

There are three EV charging levels. Level 1 uses a household power outlet at home. This is the most convenient charging method for many people but the slowest method. Level 2 chargers can be installed in homes and are available at public stations, and they dramatically reduce charging time. A Level 3 charger is referred to as a DC Fast Charger, and these are exclusively available for public charging.

How Do You Find a Public EV Charging Station?

You can find the nearest charging station through the MBUX 7 navigation system accessible via the infotainment system screen. The list will include the type of charger available at the station.

Are There Tax Credits Available?

Local and federal tax credits are often available for EV and PHEV buyers, but these vary. When you visit our dealership, our sales reps will provide you with complete details about the tax credits available to you.

What is Regenerative Braking?

Mercedes-Benz EV models are engineered with regenerative braking. This turns the kinetic energy generated through braking into additional energy for the vehicle to use, allowing you to enjoy a higher battery range.

What are the Risks of an Electric Battery?

Some shoppers are concerned about the risk of an electric shock. However, our batteries are sealed to minimize this risk. All related cables and circuits are identified with bright orange labels under the hood. In the event of a collision, the seal will protect the battery. In addition, the voltage system is disconnected within seconds if a collision is detected.

When Will the Battery Need to Be Replaced?

The life of your auto battery is based on usage and other factors. In most cases, the average auto owner will not need to worry about replacing the battery because of the battery’s extended longevity.

* EPA estimated driving range with a fully charged battery. Driving range may vary based on model, terrain, temperature, driving style, optional equipment, use of vehicle features, and other factors.
