Serving North Olmsted, OH
For North Olmsted drivers who expect luxury behind the wheel but do not need a large SUV, the Mercedes-Benz GLB and GLC are solid options. The 2024 GLB is a subcompact crossover SUV that introduces updates to its facade and features. The slightly larger GLC crossover is available for the first time with an AMG® trim level in 2024. What can you expect from these premium models?
Performance
The 2024 GLB 250 and GLB 250 4MATIC® are well-engineered with a 221-horsepower, four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter system featuring mild-hybrid tech. The AMG® GLB 35 has a high-performance variation of this turbo engine and delivers 302 horsepower. The entry-level trim has front-wheel drive while the other two trims have a 4MATIC® all-wheel drive system. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC is available in two trims, the GLC 300 and the AMG® GLC 43. The GLC 300 receives 255 horsepower from its turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. The AMG® GLC 43 has a high-performance variation of this powertrain, generating 416 horsepower. Both GLC trim levels have a nine-speed auto transmission and mild-hybrid engineering.
Appearance
The GLB is easily recognized on the road with its small, upright stance and individualized nose design. Both the hood and side panels are decadently smooth, and the sides have the added functionality of body molding. The nose is tall with large, well-defined air intakes and a rounded grille. The grille is styled with vertical accents and a large brand logo. The diamond-shaped LED headlights are topped with a thick LED ribbon and show off two rectangular bulbs. The GLC stands apart with stronger curves across its profile and sleek sides. The branded grille has a stardust mesh design on the front end with a metallic, horizontal crossbar. The pointed headlights angle outward and have both solid and sectioned LED bars. The GLC’s lower fascia is larger, while the air inlets are impressively integrated.
Features
While the GLB is a two-row model, it is available with a third row of seats as an upgrade. Some of its other standard or available features are sport seats, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, a premium sound system, a heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, heated seats with memory controls in the front row, an MBUX infotainment system with a 10.25-inch display screen, a second 10.25-inch driver’s cluster, 64-color ambient lighting, natural voice recognition, a driver attention warning, and others. The GLC has these features and a few extras, and it is exclusively offered with two rows. Its additional features are more USB ports, household power outlets, a heated windshield washer, a flat-bottom steering wheel, synthetic suede upholstery and several other items.
